Review: Feedburner.Com

I have discovered yet another way to help get the word out about your blog and make subscription easier. Feedburner.Com offers a wealth of easy to implement and maintain (two major advantages for any webmaster) several traffic increasing and visibility increasing items.

FeedFlare creates a simple script that you add to the bottom of your posts and instantly create links to Digg, Technorati, Netscape and a host of other services, all without having to worry about messing up tags or dealing with indepth coding.

Smartfeed allows you to use one feed address regardless if the user is trying to subscribe using a RSS reader or Atom reader.

FeedCount is a quick little graphic / widget that you can add to your site to help get the word out about how many people are actually subscribed to the feed. This coupled with a Chicklet creates and easy to use subscription process that almost anyone regardless which feed reader they are using can subscribe in just a few clicks.

Pingshot is another useful add-on which helps supplement the ping servers normally used by the more common blogging software programs.  Using PingShot you can ping 10 of the top servers out there and make sure everyone knows you updated your blog.

Other add-ons such as Email Subscriptions, SmartCast, Link and Photo Slicer plus several others make the FeedBurner service even better than before. If you have never visited I suggest you go and if you used FeedBurner even just a few months ago then you need to drop back in and see what they have added.
